Dip’n Dye Grace

A song written to Ludovico Einaudi’s “Lady Labyrinth” from his beautiful album ‘Nightbook’.

Wherever I go I’m aware of your soul
Tracing my steps to and fro
I yield like the yawn escaping control
It’s well beyond midnight
Long past its holy hours

Sacred the core of our daily chores
Repeating the good intent
Our tide’s coming in on uncharted shores
Whilst lack of sleep steeps the curve
Of a newborn tradition

Deeper and deeper we savour the light
Mending our frame of life
But we´re not the same for one we’ve become
A fabulous face of forgiveness

For we’re dip’n dye grace

Now angles have shift as an angel was watching
An apricot-coloured hotel room
Cinnamon sweets and cardamom seeds
Whilst rose-scented cheeks glowed upon mine

Deeper and deeper we savour the light
Mending our frame of life
But we´re not the same for one we’ve become
A fabulous face of forgiveness

For we’re dip’n dye grace

Buttersweet sweat is fattening up
The treat of this love
We’re ready to rock ‘n roll
So peace be upon us; peace be upon us
-Peace be upon us
Be upon us, be upon us, be upon us, be upon us

For we’re dip’n dye grace
