When did you know (Pote ikseres)

Danielle Durst Britt (vocals) & Roosmarijn van Beemen (piano) participated in the 5th and final ‘Nootuitgang’ Student Singer-Songwriter Contest of Leiden University (The Netherlands), the 6th of May 2008, with ‘When did you know’ (‘Pote ikseres’). "When did you know / Potè ikseres"

.

When did you know you had to go and leave me lonely? / Thought you were so sure you wanted more -not make me over.. / Well, on your way you said you’d stay, to be around me / I guess you’ve changed your mind, ’cause now I find you with another / And baby, I believed you’d set me free for something good / You made a choice I never understood..

.

Pes mou tha pas –pia den m’ agapas? / Kai m’ afeineis moni mes’sti erimia mou / –Pos teleiosame edho..?

.

For once upon a time we seemed so fine; a perfect couple / You said you were my man, would give me what you can, for ever after.. / I thought we had it all; that we stood tall against the playground / But you turned away from me, unexpectedly, and let me down / And I can’t believe what’s happening to me just now you’re gone / I must have been mistaken all along..

.

Pes mou tha pas –pia den m’ agapas? / Kai m’ afeineis moni mes’sti erimia mou / –Pos teleiosame edho..?

O pou ki’an pas.. o pou ki’an zeis.. m’anazitas; thes na me vreis? / Mes sti zòi.. eida pola.. se sìnxorò –ma einai argha..
